Mari in new york eats, travel tucks

Mr. Mari asked me the other day what was for sale at the Farmers Market. The summer stone fruit and berry bounty may be gone and the tomatoes are nearing the end of their run but there's plenty coming in: Brussels sprouts; all sorts of squashes and pumpkins; cabbages; gorgeous grasses, eucalyptus and gourds; and the apples and pears are bountiful. It’s the first time for me seeing peanuts too. Mr. Mari definitely doesn't like when the weather starts getting chillier but he does like when his favorite apple variety, the Honey Crisp, returns.

Note: When you see a cart or cooler in front of a stall, it's a sure sign a chef from a nearby restaurant is loading up on some tasty things. My strategy: Follow the carts.
