Stew Leonard's is a magical supermarket. No, you still have to pay for your groceries but I don't know of any kid - large or small - who doesn't love going to Stew Leonard's. It's designed to look like a dairy farm/state fair and set up like a single aisle maze, so you have to walk through all the different sections, like an IKEA showroom. It has a "petting" farm, a milk "bottling" plant, cow- and chicken-costumed staff walking around waving at kids and there's just fun wackiness like dairy-related animatronics breaking out into song whenever a cooing parent has activated them.

And, if you spend over $100, which one always does because you just load up on all the great stuff they have, you get a soft-serve ice cream or yogurt for free. Getting that cone of frozen vanilla yogurt with chocolate sprinkles is probably my most favorite part of the experience. In a single lick, it snaps me back to my childhood. Magic.
