Gifting Candied Kumquats

This is the final post in a three-part series. To see the first one, click here.

Since the kumquats were a little sticky, I put each one in a truffle liner. The box shape was such that there were too many for a single layer so I constructed a platform for a second layer as well as another platform for the candied lime flower I was able to save from my candied citrus flower project.

Since I didn't want the gift recipient to turn the box over to unwrap it (in fear that the kumquats would toss inside the box) I didn’t wrap the box. However, it still needed something to dress it up. A simple ribbon would do the trick. I made four separate loops; double-stick taped them together and then added a small top loop to hide the tape underneath. After you open the gift, you understand the bow design was intentional. Another a la Mari gift.
